Winter Haven, Florida
On this day, we gather to remember and honor the life of my beloved brother, Kenneth Allen Strahorn, who was born on October 28, 1954, in Washington D.C. Kenneth Allen moved to Winter Haven, Florida, 11 years ago and quickly made it his home. He was a man defined by his courage, loyalty, resilience, and intellect. A dedicated truck driver in the logistics sector, Kenneth Allen retired in 2024, after many years of service. In retirement, he discovered an array of interests and hobbies that filled his days with joy. He was fond of fishing, attending races, and his love for music knew no bounds. His enthusiasm for scratch-off tickets brought an exciting element of surprise to his routine.
Kenneth Allen was a proud member of the American Legion, where he found camaraderie and a shared sense of purpose. His honesty was unparalleled, always telling it like it was. This trait, while sometimes raw, was ultimately one of his most cherished qualities. His son, Frank Strahorn, was the joy of his life. Kenneth Allen's love for him was profound and unwavering, a testament to his indomitable spirit and unwavering loyalty. His daughter, Krystal, his brothers Billy and myself, Micheal, and our wives Doris and Katy, his sisters Keren and Sandy, and his dear friend Judy, all remember him with love and respect.
Kenneth Allen was predeceased by our parents, William and Shirley Strahorn. His passing leaves a void that no words can fill. But as we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life, remembering him as the resilient and courageous man he was. As it says in the Bible, "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!" (Matthew 25:23). This verse encapsulates Kenneth Allen's life, a man of faith who lived his life with integrity and purpose.
We invite all those who knew and loved Kenneth Allen to share their memories and photographs on his memorial page. Your stories and images will help keep his spirit alive and bring comfort to those who miss him most. Kenneth Allen was, and always will be, a man who could never be forgotten. His memory will forever reside in our hearts.
